He earned a degree in Industrial Civil Engineering from the University of Talca, Chile, in 2018. Currently, he is a PhD student in Mathematics at the University of Seville, Spain, specializing in the research line of Optimization, Game Theory, Methods, and Models of Statistics and Operations Research. His research focuses on applying operations research methodologies to spatial conservation prioritization to support decision-making in systematic conservation planning. He is currently an associate researcher at the Forest Science and Technology Center of Catalonia, Spain, where he develops operations research applications, including optimization models for spatial planning of priority actions in threat management.
