LIGNE / Modélisation du paysage (LandMod)

Doctoral candidate in Biodiversity, Genetics, and Evolution at the University of Porto (2025, Portugal). Master’s Degree in Ecology and Environment from the same institution (2019, Portugal). Postgraduate Diploma in Rural Fire Management from the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (2021, Portugal). Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Sciences and Technologies from the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo – School of Agriculture (2017, Portugal).

Since 2015, she has been a certified technician in prescribed burning and a volunteer firefighter in Portugal. She is currently a researcher in the field of fire ecology and landscape management. Her research focuses on analyzing the spatial and temporal interactions among multiple drivers of change that shape the dynamics of mountain landscapes. Her work primarily evaluates landscape-scale management strategies that enhance ecosystem resilience to wildfires, exploring the role of fire as a tool for adaptive management, decision-making support, and territorial sustainability. In addition, she supervises student work and collaborates on several research projects.
