Tania Alhelí is currently working with the Socio-economy and Governance of Rural Systems group. She holds a Master’s degree in Mediterranean Forestry and Natural Resources Management (Erasmus Mundus MEDfOR, Universities of Lleida and Padova) and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Tania has experience collaborating in international research projects, teaching workshops and seminars, and working with academia, government, NGOs, and rural and indigenous communities. Her work bridges scientific research and local knowledge, with a focus on forest and biodiversity conservation, and socio-ecological governance.

Her current activity focuses on three main topics:
-Stakeholder engagement and participatory approaches through Living Labs.
-Co-creation of innovative agroforestry systems in Mediterranean landscapes.
-Knowledge integration and transfer between researchers, practitioners, and local communities to foster sustainable land management.
