Laura Solé Bujalance
Personnel de recherche en formation

PROGRAMME / Biologie de la conservation
LIGNE / Conservation des écosystèmes agricoles et des espèces cynégétiques

To study and gain knowledge about nature, Laura graduated in Biology from the University of Vic in 2019. Her motivation to understand and mitigate anthropogenic impacts on natural ecosystems, led her to continue her education by completing the Master's in Environmental Change: Analysis and Management at the University of Girona (UdG) in 2021. Currently, she works at the Science and Forest Technology in Catalonia (CTFC), where she is doing a doctoral thesis that investigates the effects of large-scale solar photovoltaic plants on bird communities in agro-steppe environments. This research is part of the Steppe Forward Chair, coordinated by the CTFC, the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, and the company Total Energies.

Throughout her professional career, Laura has collaborated with the DESMARES Project, aiming to study possible mitigation measures for bycatch of the Mediterranean shag by artisanal fishing during the 2019-2021 period. She also worked with the company TESTA Medio Ambiente, conducting fieldwork to assess the environmental impact of renewable energy infrastructure projects in Castilla y León during 2022.
