Mario Beltrán Barba

Engineer in Forestry and Master’s in Research on Forest Systems and Products. He currently holds the accreditation of Professional Expert Engineer.
Specialized in silviculture, he works on implementing actions in the territory that enhance its adaptive capacity and resilience to the impacts of climate change. He has significant experience in Mediterranean silviculture, multifunctional forest management, and close-to-nature silviculture, with contributions to applied research and knowledge transfer projects. His expertise includes the development of tools for strategic and operational planning at different scales, as well as innovation in forest inventories, dasometric monitoring, and spatial information management. He has participated in numerous knowledge transfer activities, specialized training, and outreach initiatives. He has participated in several EU projects and coordinated and contributed to many training programs and dissemination publications. He is the (co)author of more than 60 publications related to knowledge transfer and serves as an associate professor of silviculture at the University of Lleida.
