This group carries out research and transfer activities relating to the socioenvironmental dimension of forests, along with the governance processes and tools that enable integrated management of forest environments and resources within a context of global change. Comprised of professionals from a range of different disciplines who bring a cross-cutting and holistic perspective, the group offers knowledge and experience in areas such as reducing the risk of forest fires and disasters, climate adaptation strategies, policy coherence and land-use planning, governance and planning from a social and intersectional perspective, environmental justice, strategic communication and perception, and the social use of forest environments.
