Forestry Engineering degree from the University of Lleida (UdL), with a specialization in Wildfire Risk Management from the same university. Studies in Forestry Sciences at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB).
He has been a researcher at the CTFC since its early stages and currently coordinates the Forest Policy and Risk Governance group. His expertise covers disaster risk management —particularly wildfires— climate adaptation and mitigation strategies, forest policy, governance, and planning from a social perspective, as well as strategic perception and communication. He has coordinated numerous transfer projects at both regional and international levels, and has served as an expert in various European Commission initiatives and international consultancies, including the National Forest Plan of Lebanon (World Bank, 2013) and the Wildfire Strategy of Tunisia (FAO, 2015). He is part of the Consolidated Research Group BIOFOR and is the author of numerous scientific and outreach publications. He has coordinated the organization of several international conferences, seminars, information sessions, and media reports on forestry and wildfire topics. He is a founding member of the Pau Costa Foundation for Fire Ecology and Wildfire Management, board member of the Catalan Association for the Promotion of Forest Certification, and has been involved for several years in the Land Stewardship Network of Catalonia and the Boscos de Muntanya / Berwaldprojekt Catalunya. He is also currently a lecturer in several international master’s programs.
