FOREST GENETICS AND AGROFORESTRY PRODUCTION
The research is based on characterising inter- and intraspecific variability in forest/agroforestry species, and selecting base materials for the production/adaptation and preservation of species’ genetics within the context of climate change.
In addition to the initial aim of the selection, i.e. the production requirements (production/technological traits), other aims include biodiversity conservation and the selection of adaptive traits, taking into account the main/potential biotic and abiotic threats to each species within the context of the future climate scenario.
