The group’s activity focuses on:

• Mechanisation and innovation in forestry work.
• The value chain of forest biomass.
• Applied economics in the forest sector: factors for decision-making and impact analysis.
The agroforestry biofuel laboratory offers analysis, sampling and quality-monitoring services for solid biofuels, and the DBOSQ quality standard for woodchips for domestic and industrial use. It also provides inspection and audit services for the DINplus programme with regard to the production of pellets.
