Science communication coordinato at the CTFC (since November 2022).
Berta Carreño graduated as a Chemical Engineer (2011) from the University of Barcelona. After five years working in the chemical industry, she completed a Master on Scientific, Medical and Environmental Communication at Pompeu Fabra University (2014).
Since then, she has worked as a science communicator in different roles, as a journalist in Scientific American in New York, organizer of TEDxCERN talks at CERN, or dynamizer of visits to CosmoCaixa in Barcelona, among others. Before arriving at the CTFC, she spent four years working at the Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) as a science communication technician (2018-2022).
