Graduated in Environmental Biology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, having completed part of the degree at Andrés Bello University in Santiago, Chile. Master's in Terrestrial Ecology and Biodiversity Management from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, completing part of the master's thesis at the AgroParisTech Institute in Nancy (France).
Currently, he works as a biodiversity modeling technician within the framework of the CARTOBIO and GREENRISK projects. Specifically, he works on species distribution modeling (1), focusing on various taxa such as steppe birds, the brown bear, the boreal owl, and the European polecat, among others. He began specializing in this field during the completion of his master's thesis, titled "Effects of climate change over alpine vegetation and treeline distribution in the Pyrenees: the case of Gentiana alpina," at the AgroParisTech Institute in Nancy (France) and the Department of Animal Biology, Plant Biology, and Ecology at the UAB.
He has since specialized in systematic conservation planning based on natural values (2), both in protected natural areas and within the Catalan region. He has also worked with change factors such as visitor frequency in natural areas (3) and remote sensing data (4), including satellite images and derivative products, particularly climate and meteorological data.
During his studies, he collaborated on the monitoring of alpine marmots in the Pyrenees with CREAF, completed internships in wildlife conservation, rehabilitation, and recovery at the Torreferrussa Wildlife Center, and worked in environmental education, communication, and volunteer organization with ADENC (Association for the Defense and Study of Nature in Catalonia).
