LINE / Conservation of agricultural ecosystems and game species

PhD from the Instituto de Investigación en Recursos Cinegéticos (IREC) in Ciudad Real (2021) with the dissertation “The Status & Hunting of European Turtle-dove (Streptopelia turtur) in Spain.”

She joined the CTFC in 2022 with a Margarita Salas postdoctoral research contract to study the spatial ecology of the turtle-dove. Her research focuses on conservation biology, applying an interdisciplinary approach that bridges ecology and social sciences. She examines the impact of human activities, such as hunting and agriculture, on declining bird populations, with particular emphasis on the coexistence of humans and wildlife. She evaluates the effectiveness of conservation and management measures implemented in the field, analyzing which interventions generate positive, neutral, or negative outcomes, identifying gaps in their application, and establishing evidence-based processes to improve decision-making in conservation planning and policy.
