PhD by the Universities of Lleida (Spain) and Padova (Italy), Forest Engineer fby the Technical University of Valencia. M.Sc. Economics by the University of Barcelona. She also studied in Freiburg (Germany), did her master thesis in Argentina and traineeship in Finland.
In 2008 she started working at EFIMED (Mediterranean office of the European Forest Institute). Since 2009 she has participated in R+D+I projects related to the forest socio-economics.
Her main lines of research are the analysis of socioeconomic instruments for rural development and bioeconomy:
- Design and implementation of sustainable economic instruments for environmental externalities (paying special attention to Payments for Environmental Services);
- Social capital for cooperation in forest management and use (social innovation, associationism);
- Forest ecosystem services offer (costs, motivations for forest management); and
- Value chains of non-wood forest products (economic analysis and governance).
