Lukman Yazid (Luk) holds an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s in Mediterranean Forestry and Natural Resources Management (MEDfOR) from the University of Lleida and the University of Lisbon. His thesis focused on multisource remote sensing data to estimate timber volume.

Luk has gained experience across tropical, Mediterranean, and boreal forests. He collaborated with the SmartForest at NMBU on harvester-based forest inventory, and worked as a research technician at ULisboa supporting laser scanning analysis for forest structure and biomass mapping. He has also been involved in forest sector digitalization in Indonesia.

At CTFC, he will be involved in research and knowledge transfer tasks for the Landscape Modelling and Precision Forestry (PRECFOR) groups.
