Posee más de veinte años de experiencia trabajando como científica social en el mundo forestal en España y el Reino Unido; ha participado en diversos proyectos europeos; y es coautora de diversas publicaciones académicas. Su investigación se centra en la comprensión de las complejas relaciones entre los bosques y la sociedad. Actualmente, su actividad se centra en tres temas principales: el análisis de las políticas forestales y relacionadas con los bosques a diferentes niveles; los enfoques multiactor y procesos de co-creación para fomentar la innovación y la integración de diferentes tipos de conocimiento; y las transiciones para la sostenibilidad y el bienestar de la sociedad.
