He holds a PhD in Forest and Natural Environment Management from the University of Lleida (Spain, 2021) and a Master’s Degree in Forestry Engineering from the same institution (2021). His academic background also includes a prestigious Erasmus Mundus MEDfOR Master’s in Mediterranean Forestry and Natural Resources Management from the Instituto Superior de Agronomia (Portugal, 2016) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry Engineering from the high Technical School of Agricultural and Forestry Engineering at the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM; Spain, 2013).
Currently, he is a junior postdoctoral researcher and modeler at the Centre de Ciència i Tecnologia Forestal de Catalunya (CTFC), working in the Multifunctional Forest Management department. His research focuses on assessing the effect of different and innovative silvicultural treatments on forest growth and vitality, as well as on other ecosystem services such as non-wood forest products (mushrooms, cork) and water resources, providing a scientific foundation to develop tools oriented toward sustainable forest management.
