PROGRAM / Landscape dynamics
LINE / Landscape Modelling (LandMod)

PhD in the LERH Program at the University of Padova (UNIPD), Italy (2022), included a stage at the Technische Universität Dresden, Germany. Master in the EUFO Program at the Mendel University in Brno (MENDELU), Czech Republic (2017), doing the second year at the UNIPD through the Erasmus+ Program. Forestry Engineer at the Universidad Austral de Chile (UACh), (2013). He carried out an academic exchange through a scholarship awarded provided by the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD) at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, Germany.
Once he obtained the Forestry Engineer title with Cum Laude in Chile, he moved to Canada to work in the forest inventory in the Province of Ontario, obtaining the certificates of Ecological Land Classification (ELC) and the Forest Resource Inventory (FRI) for photo-interpreters issued by the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources (OMNR). Once he concluded his stage in Canada, he moved to the Czech Republic to study the EUFO program through a merit scholarship and later to moved to Italy for Doctoral studies funded by the National Commission for Scientific and Technological Research in Chile.
Currently, he is involved in PYSOLO and FIRE-RES projects, developing geo-spatial data to identify biomass sources for pyrolysis process and developing geo-spatial data for forest fire simulations, including biomass and fuel maps. He has a strong collaboration with the universities of Padova, Dresden, and University of Chile, where he is an invited professor at Padova and University of Chile. He collaborates in several projects and publications, mostly in topics of geomatics, environmental remote sensing and laser scanning techniques.
