LINE / Precision Forestry (PrecFOR) New tools for forestry decision making

PhD student in the Doctoral Program in Forest and Natural Environment Management at the University of Lleida, with international co-supervision at the University of Eastern Finland. Forestry Engineer from the University of Valladolid and a Master’s in Geomatics, Remote Sensing, and Spatial Models Applied to Forest Management from the University of Córdoba.

Currently works as a predoctoral researcher in training at the CTFC, funded through the Joan Oró (FI 2024) fellowship, and is part of the European Sintetic project. His research focuses on precision forest planning, with a particular emphasis on using new technologies to optimize decision-making in forest operations, including the assessment of the feasibility of different management methods. Specifically, he works on integrating advanced close-range remote sensing techniques using mobile laser scanners. He collaborates with the Natural Resources Institute Finland (LUKE) in the development of his dissertation and teaches in the MOOC course series “Digital Forest” at the University of Córdoba, where he designs and delivers training on geomatics and remote sensing applied to forest management.
