LINE / Landscape Modelling (LandMod)

PhD in Environmental Sciences from the Université du Québec in Montréal (2018, Canada), degree in Mathematics from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (2005, Spain), Master’s in Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (2010, Spain), and postgraduate degree in Quantitative Techniques for Financial Products (2008, Spain).

Her research focuses on studying the spatial and temporal interactions between natural and human drivers of change that shape forest landscapes. Much of her work evaluates landscape-scale management strategies to strengthen the resilience of forest ecosystems against global threats, using forest landscape dynamics models. She is currently developing and applying a dynamic landscape model that integrates multiple drivers of change, as well as a forest dynamics and management model designed to inform decision-support tools for forestry. She is part of the scientific team working on Objective 4 of the Catalonia Bioeconomy Strategy 2030, which aims to promote resilient agroforestry landscapes and the sustainable provision of ecosystem services within the framework of the Catalan circular bioeconomy. In addition, she contributes as a researcher to several European Horizon 2020 projects and serves as Work Package leader for the RES-MAB project.
