From 1987 to 2021, he worked at the Generalitat of Catalonia in various departments, serving as Head of Forest Management Development for Alt Pirineu and Aran (2015–2021); Deputy Director General of Biodiversity (responsible for natural and national parks, and conservation of protected flora and fauna) (2014–2015); Forestry Engineer managing the Cerdanya region (1990–2014); and Head of Wildfire Prevention in Girona province (1987–1990). He has organized and led twenty-five international forestry study trips and approximately fifty silviculture workshops across Spain. He has drafted and executed around sixty projects involving reforestation, silvicultural treatments, hydrological corrections, forest management plans, public use initiatives, and forest road construction.
