Luciana A Jaime González
Researcher (F)

PROGRAM / Multifunctional forest management
LINE / Forest Functioning & Dynamics

Graduated in Biology from the Complutense University of Madrid (2013), with a Master’s degree in Management and Restoration of the Natural Environment from the University of Alicante (2014), and a PhD in Terrestrial Ecology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2021 (CREAF). During her predoctoral and postdoctoral stages at CREAF, her research focused on assessing forest resilience to drought, pests, and other disturbances through climatic niche modelling, fieldwork, and population dynamics analysis. She has carried out research stays at international institutions (University of Colorado Boulder, USA, and BOKU, Austria) and participated in national (BIOCLIM, RESIBIO) and European (RESONATE) projects.

In 2024 she joined the University of Lleida as a Juan de la Cierva researcher, where she remains involved in various projects centred on forest ecosystem resilience. Since 2026, she has been a postdoctoral researcher at CTFC within the European project Eco2Adapt, working on stakeholders’ perceptions regarding the implementation of climate-adaptive and resilient forest management strategies, the evaluation of ecosystem services, and the analysis of disturbances in Mediterranean forests.
