Pere Rovira Castellà
Head of group
PROGRAM / Multifunctional forest management
LINE / Soils and fertilizers
PhD in Biology from the University of Barcelona (2001).
He joined the CTFC in 2008 as a “Ramón y Cajal” researcher. His main research lines focus on the chemistry and biochemistry of soil organic matter, influenced by climate change, land-use change, forest fires, and other biogeochemical constraints; humic amendments and fertilizers, including their production, characterization, and effects on plant productivity and soil biochemistry; and the terrestrial carbon cycle, with particular emphasis on soil carbon stocks at regional and national scales, and on understanding the factors that determine soil carbon storage.
