International PhD in Environmental Science and Technology at ICTA-UAB (PhD research on inclusive environmental governance in the Arganeraie Biosphere Reserve, Morocco).
Mari Carmen holds a master's degree in Ecological Economics (UAB) and a postgraduate's degree in Climate Change (University of Salamanca). She has developed her expertise in the socioenvironmental governance research field: TEK, ILK, rural commons, community conserved areas, participatory and inclusive governance, natural protected areas, UNESCO biosphere reserves and political ecology issues in the Mediterranean area.
Mari Carmen is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the CTFC, project manager of the RES-MAB PRIMA project (WEFE Nexus Section 1) and member of the coordination team of the UNESCOMED Centre and the MedMaB Network.
