Holds a Bachelor’s and PhD in Environmental Sciences from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She combines her role as Deputy Director of Research at the CTFC with teaching responsibilities in the Department of Geography at the same university.

Her work includes the conception, writing, and review of numerous scientific and knowledge-transfer publications addressing global change and landscape resilience in a Mediterranean context; landscape analysis and perception from a socio-ecological perspective; protected natural areas; and the links between nature and human health. She currently serves as the scientific coordinator of the Network of Mediterranean Biosphere Reserves and the UNESCOMED Centre, and leads the CTFC research group on Biosphere Reserves and Biocities.
