Senior researcher of the Forest Science and Technology Centre of Catalonia (CTFC) and head of the Bioeconomy, Health and Governance program. Her research is carried out in the Forest chemistry, bioproducts and biorefineries research group of CTFC and in the Mediterranean Wood Chemistry Lab. PhD in Environmental Sciences from the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (ICTA-UAB). She is the coordinator of the Consolidated Research Group of Forest bioeconomy (2021 SGR 01613), a recognised research group by the Generalitat de Catalunya. She has professional experience in relation to bioproducts and circular bioeconomy development in different R & D departments of companies such as Aeris Tecnologías Ambientales SL, as well as research centres such as the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and the Instituto de Carboquímica from the Spanish National Research Council (ICB-CSIC). She is also an associate lecturer at the Department of Chemistry of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Her research focuses on obtaining value-added products from different types of biomass, thermochemical processes, basically torrefaction and pyrolysis; the analytical characterization of bioproducts and the use and conversion of bio-oil as chemical platforms and products, under the biorefinery framework and in the context of bioeconomy and circular economy.
