PROGRAM / Landscape dynamics
LINE / Forests and water

Forestry Engineer (2009) and PhD in Forestry Sciences (2017) from the University of Lleida.

After completing her doctoral thesis, she obtained a postdoctoral fellowship to continue her research at the Institut National de Recherche pour l’Agriculture, l’Alimentation et l’Environnement (INRAe) in Bordeaux, France. Since 2021, she has been leading the Forests and Water research line at the CTFC, while also serving as an Associate Professor at the University of Lleida (UdL). Trained as an ecophysiologist, her main interests lie in the impact of climate change on carbon and water cycles in ecosystems, as well as the effects of drought and forest management on watershed hydrology and vegetation adaptations.
Her work spans multiple scales—from physiological processes to watershed and landscape planning. She has extensive experience using stable isotopes as tracers of biogeochemical cycles, characterizing vegetation eco-physiological responses to drought, and developing ecohydrological models. Throughout her scientific career, she has led and collaborated on numerous national and international projects, and worked in leading laboratories and research facilities such as Ecotron Montpellier, Synchrotron Soleil Paris, and the CSIB at the University of California.
