LINE / Forests and water

Forest engineer (2009) and doctor in forestry sciences (2017) from the University of Lleida. After finishing her doctoral thesis, she obtained a postdoctoral fellowship to continue her research at the Institut National de Recherche pour l'Agriculture, l'Alimentation et l'Environnement (INRAe) in Bordeaux (France). Since 2021, she has been working at the Forest Science and Technology Center of Catalonia (CTFC) as head of the forests and water research line. Currently, she is also an associate professor at the University of Lleida (UdL).
Ecophysiologist by training; she has a strong interest in the impact of climate change on ecosystem carbon and water cycles, as well as the effects of drought and forest management on watershed hydrology and vegetation adaptations. She has worked on water relations in ecosystems from multiple scales, from physiological to basin and landscape planning. She has extensive experience in working with stable isotopes as tracers of biogeochemical cycles, in the characterization of the ecophysiological responses of vegetation to drought and in ecohydrological modeling. Throughout her scientific career she has led and collaborated with various national and foreign scientific projects and has worked in important laboratories and research facilities (Ecotron Montpellier, Synchroton Soleil Paris, CSIB - University of California).
