Enginyer Tècnic Forestal per la Universidad de Valladolid (2003) i Enginyer de Forests (2007) per la Universitat de Lleida. L'any 2010 va realitzar un Màster de Recerca en Sistemes i Productes Forestals, i el 2013 va obtenir el títol de Doctor en Ciències Forestals per la Universitat de Lleida.


Després de desenvolupar la seva Tesi Doctoral al CTFC, entre 2013 i 2015 va realitzar una estada postdoctoral al Centre d'Étude de la Forêt de la Université du Québec a Montréal (Canadà).

Actualment és investigador postdoctoral (Juan de la Cierva) al CREAF i investigador al CTFC. La seva recerca pretén millorar el coneixement sobre les respostes dels boscos als diversos canvis ambientals, i determinar el paper de la gestió forestal en la dinàmica futura dels ecosistemes forestals.
