Com a investigador pre-doctoral ha treballat en col·laboració amb l'Institut de Ciències Forestals (ICIFOR) de l'INIA-CSIC en projectes relacionats amb la temàtica de la seva tesi i el seu treball fi de Màster. Ha realitzat estades de recerca pre-doctorals en Natural Resources Canada (Ottawa, el Canadà), així com en la Northern Research Station de Forest Research (Roslin, Escòcia, el Regne Unit). Des de març de 2024 és investigador post-doctoral en el CTFC, lligat al projecte europeu Eco2Adapt, en el grup de Funcionament i dinàmica del bosc, així com mantenint línies de recerca en silvicultura i en restauració post-incendi.
